What is pharmacology content and how is this documented?
Pharmacology or Pharmacotherapeutic content can be offered during an educational activity without it being accredited. Learners, particularly nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists may be required to attend a certain number of hours of pharmacology or pharmacotherapeutic content. No formal certificate is issued for attending this content. The learner needing proof of attendance should present items such as a printed copy or screen shot of course materials for submission to the licensing body requiring the documentation. Some activities may opt to pre-identify content that the leaders of the activity feel contain pharmacology or pharmacotherapeutic content, however, the final determination can only be made by the licensing board or authoritative body that issued the requirement.
